 Fact Finding Services

GenQuest brings its staff of skilled human resources and employment law professionals to the table for fact finding interviews. We know the appropriate questions to ask in order to get the information needed to make the right decisions. We use a systematic approach that focuses on gathering and documenting facts, and separating fact from emotion and opinion.

 Purposes of Fact Finding

Fact finding is a stage of the formal grievance process where a neutral third party is contracted to review the complaint at hand, interview necessary parties with relevant knowledge of the complaint, and to create a final report of findings and recommendations. That report is then returned to the appropriate human resources or employee advocate personnel for review and consideration. We have experience in all stages of the grievance process, including: identifying appropriate sources; obtaining appropriate documents; conducting interviews, meetings and hearings; analyzing situations and complex problems; and providing appropriate reports and recommendations based on the findings.

Fact finding is also used for conducting workplace assessments in which organizational and personnel issues are identified. The data is analyzed and collated into a formal report containing recommendations.

GenQuest fact finders are skilled in conducting formal investigations involving sexual harassment, workplace violence, and other employment related matters.
We offer:
  • A neutral observer
  • A customized list of questions that require detailed answers
  • An experienced professional that is highly skilled in the interview process
  • Skills in collecting facts that support conclusions (FOSA Model)
  • A summary of findings based on the pertinent issues of the case
  • A list of recommendations based on findings
  • A comprehensive report that includes all pertinent documentation, including witness statements
  • A team of industry experts who review the final report
