As an Organizational Development and Performance Consultant, Carla Forrest , Ph.D., leads and facilitates performance improvement initiatives, projects, and events that span strategic, tactical, and operational functions within many organizations. Using proven systematic approaches, she applies a variety of methodologies, techniques and tools that are adapted to the organizational context and the defined outcome objectives of improvement, change, or transition efforts in order to optimize results.
Carla uses Lean Six Sigma methods such as value stream mapping and analysis, or Kaizen events, to leverage participatory action with stakeholder groups to reveal an organization’s readiness for change and to implement interventions. These methods result in greater organizational efficiencies and effectiveness, increased positive behaviors and motivation, and reduced variation and uncertainty.
Carla uses systematic program evaluation methods to enable developmental, formative, and summative analyses. Other tools, such as strategic logical frameworks, allow her to outline quality approaches to business process mapping, provide upward reporting tools, identify support systems, and easily map to project life cycle methods for execution.
Carla’s experience in developing and implementing organizational communication plans for enterprise-wide change efforts include structural change and transition, behavior-based culture change, feedback systems, performance measurement systems, and knowledge management system implementations. She works closely with executive management, leaders, and other constituents to develop the right solutions or interventions, which will be executed with the right audiences at the right times and through the right means.
