Teresa Berry is a conflict management and organizational development professional whose work focuses on improving the quality of group and interpersonal communication. She holds a Master’s degree in U.S. Diplomatic History from the University of Hawaii, and is a nationally certified mediator with over 16 years of experience providing mediation, facilitation, training and dispute system design. She has special expertise in developing, managing and evaluating Court ADR programs.
Teresa has conducted mediations in the areas of EEO/workplace, Special Education and child welfare for public and private agencies, including: the USPS REDRESS Program; Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration; Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; New Mexico State Courts New Mexico Special Education Department; and GenQuest, Inc. She designs and delivers small and large group facilitation, including: board meetings; strategic planning; team building retreats; and public engagement for state, federal, tribal and non-profit agencies.
In addition, Teresa worked for over a decade as a mediator and Statewide Program Coordinator with the Administrative Office of the Courts Children’s Court Mediation Program and as the Director of ADR Programs for the Thirteenth Judicial District Court. She has developed and delivered workshops on mediation, facilitation, conducting effective meetings, managing high conflict in the workplace and improving interpersonal communication.
Teresa currently serves as an ADR Advisor for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) providing on-call workplace dispute resolution services in FEMA Disaster Field offices. She continues to contract withpublic agencies in the areas of ADR program design, employment complaints, Special Education and constructive communication training.
